The Bob Wininger ScholarshipThe Bob Wininger Scholarship was voted on by the ACA Board in 2001 in honor of Bob Wininger who was a catalyst in combining the “Court Clerks Association with ACA in 1992. Bob was an ACA past president and served on the ACA board for many years. Bob was killed in an auto accident just prior to the 2001 Fall Business Meeting and conference. The award was set to honor his accomplishments and to allow attendance to a conference for an individual who could not otherwise afford to attend. The original intent was to allow attendance at the Fall Business meeting but as we have not had one in several years, it was decided that individuals could submit their paperwork for the fall conference. Usually, those chosen are recognized during the luncheon. The deadline is usually 45 – 60 prior to the conference date to allow the board to vote if multiple requests are sent and to let the attendee know. The award covers the cost of the Conference Registration ONLY. No lodging, travel or incidental costs are included.
